Accessibility Statement
Our Commitment
Disability Rights South Dakota is committed to ensuring this website is accessible to everyone, including people who use assistive technology. Accessibility is core to our mission, and we’re continuously working to improve the usability and experience of this site for all visitors.
Standards
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological. Accessibility standards have evolved considerably since this site was first built, and we are actively working through our site to bring it in line with current best practices.
Ongoing Work
We know full accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time fix. If you encounter a barrier while using this site, we want to hear about it so we can address it.
Additional Tools
In addition to our ongoing remediation work, this site uses supplementary accessibility technology to support navigation and readability. These tools are not a substitute for accessible design and content, and DRSD continues to prioritize fixing accessibility barriers at the source.
